Carolyn Whitener, Artist, Commercial Artist, Interior Designer at Colorvision Inc. and Owner of Clynn’s Designs, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Artists for dedication, achievements, and leadership in design.

Ms. Whitener has been a longtime lover of the arts and continues to paint using watercolors and create sculptures. In addition, she enjoys the processes of interior design and can still be found remodeling and updating homes. She worked as a commercial artists and co-owner of Colorvision from 1979 until 2007. Furthermore, she was the co-owner of W&W Cattle Ranch from 1973 to 2007 and the co-owner of Honk N Holler from 1962 to 1975. She has owned Clynn’s Designs since 1969.

In addition to her love of art, Ms. Whitener is active in many civic groups as well as speaking out about equal rights. For her work in these ventures, she has received numerous accolades. These include the Phi Alpha Delta Award in 2012, State of Oklahoma Citation Award in 2001 and the Woman of the Year Award from Beta Sigma Phi Award among many other achievements. She was selected into the Oklahoma Hall of Fame by Governor Brad Henry in 2009 and is also in the Chickasha High School Students Hall of Fame. Ms. Whitener is an advisory member of the Governor’s Oklahoma Commission on the Status of the Women and was formerly active with the Grady County Environmental Coalition. In her spare time she enjoys sewing, cooking and travel. She maintains affiliation with the Oklahoma Association of Family Community and Education, the Grady County Extension Homemakers, Oklahoma City Newcomer’s Club, Beta Sigma Phi, Senior River Loving Life, Rockport Art Center and Docent and Phi Alpha Delta. Ms. Whitener was recognized earlier in 2017 with a Lifetime Achievement Award.
