Title: Independent Fine Art Professional
Location: New York, New York, United States
Maya M. Farber, Independent Fine Art Professional, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Artists for dedication, achievements, and leadership in art.
Renowned amongst her peers for artistic abilities, Ms. Farber is proud of the impact her work has had. She was born in Romania, and it was there that her talents were first noticed. After many years in Nicaragua, Ms. Faber moved to the U.S. at the age of 18 to pursue her dreams. She attended schools like the Pratt Institute, Hunter College, and the Hans Hofmann School, and studied under Reginald Marsh and Will Barnett at the Art Students League. Now, Ms. Farber is a frequent exhibitor in Europe, Israel, and the U.S., and has her own studio in New York City. Her background abroad inspired the bright, tropical colors seen throughout her landscapes, collages, and still-life paintings.
One of the highlights of Ms. Farber’s career was being selected in The Artist Magazine’s Artists over 60 contest in 2012. She was also proud to be featured in Who’s Who in American Art, American Artists of Renown, “Creative Collage Techniques” by Nita Leland and Virginia Lee Williams, and “Collage in All Dimensions” by Gretchen Birnbaum and Petrina Gardner.
