Lisa Collado, Artist, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Artists for dedication, achievements, and leadership in the field of art.
Extremely talented and adept at various styles of art, Ms. Collado has achieved enormous success in her career. As a child, she would use magazines her father had given her to make various pieces, including a painting of a Spanish dancer that deeply inspired her to continue creating art. She knew she possessed artistic talent and pursued her passion, earning a Bachelor of Art from the State University of New York and a Master of Art from New York University. Ms. Collado has contributed to group exhibits and endeavors and her own exciting artwork appears in permanent collections such as Rutgers University and the Phillip’s Academy Addison Gallery of American Art in Andover, MA.
Ms. Collado has travelled to multiple countries, sharing her artwork and collaborating with other artists. She has been especially proud to create heartfelt work reflective of her American roots and has done so in Austria, Argentina and Mexico. In recognition of her talents, she received the Elizabeth Morse Award from the Genius Foundation in 1989 and earned grants from the Adolph and Esther Gottlieb Foundation in 2002 as well as the Pollock-Kaiser Foundation in 1997. A testament to her notoriety, Ms. Collado has been presented with The Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award and has been featured in multiple editions of Who’s Who of American Women.
