Corinne E. Cunha, Music Teacher at Hartford Public Schools, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Artists for dedication, achievements, and leadership in music education.

Utilizing nearly 40 years of experience, Ms. Cunha has been serving as a pre-kindergarten through eighth-grade music teacher at Hartford Public Schools since 2007, having previously served the school district as a music coach from 2001 to 2007 and music teacher from 1995 to 2001. Prior to these illustrious roles, she was a cello teacher and ensemble coach for the Hartford Conservatory from 1992 to 2000, a cello teacher for the University of Connecticut Community School of the Arts from 1990 to 1993, and a cello teacher for Central Connecticut State University from 1986 to 1992. She commenced her career as a traffic coordinator for Fafair Bearing Company from 1980 to 1982.

Alongside her primary endeavors, Ms. Cunha has been a professional cellist, having served as an assistant principal cellist with the Eastern Connecticut Symphony Orchestra since 1982. In addition, she has frequently performed with the Chevrolet Music Theater and the Andrea Bocelli American Tour. A freelance musician in her spare time, she was also the former teacher, coach, and summer program director at the Hartford Conservatory from 1992 to 2000. She holds a Bachelor of Music from the Hartt School of the University of Hartford and a Master of Science in educational leadership from Central Connecticut State University.

Among the highlights of her career, Ms. Cunha is most humbled by the experiences she had while on broadcast television, including as a featured educator on Hartford Cable Channel and TV New England Journal. Looking toward the future, she intends to retire from education and continue serving as a professional cellist.
