Gerald Morgan, Artist, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Artists for dedication, achievements, and leadership in oil, landscapes and figurative work.
As a child, Mr. Morgan was fascinated with art but it wasn’t until he was older that he realized that a career in art was possible. He now feels fortunate that he has been able to pursue his career as an artist and has honed his craft privately since 1986. Prior to this, he was an art director for Nicoll & Associates Public Relations and Advertising and a graphic artist for Jim Johnson Illustration and Design. Furthermore, he has extended his passion for the arts as a member of the Hendersonville Arts Council and as an active participant and member of a historic cemetery in Davidson County.
In his career, Mr. Morgan has been selected for a number of solo shows, group exhibits, juried shows and various collections across the United States and the world. His work has been featured in such galleries as the Bethune Arts Center, the Folon-Rigsby Gallery, the Galerie Vanhove and the Galerie Pacaud in France. He has also been featured in the Evansville Museum, and in collections for the Foundation for Kentucky Women, the Opryland Hotel, Riec Sur Belon, and the Tennessee Valley Corporation. He served in the US Army from 1965 to 1968. One definit point in his career that really sticks out would be a trip to Madrid, Spain in 1980 and seeing the artwork of Joaquin Soria. That artist in particular was very inspirational and informative to Mr. Morgan’s own.
