Lorelei Marie Johnson, Writer and Artist, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Artists for dedication, achievements, and leadership in writing and art.
Involved in artistic pursuits since 1955, Ms. Johnson is an esteemed artist and writer whose passion for the industry is unmatched. The writer of numerous anthologies, poetry and poetry tapes, she has additionally been a prolific artist in the area of Waterbury, CT. While following her passions, she has held several different vocations, including supervisor at Norwalk Factory Outlet, hairdresser at Marie’s, set designer at the Bristol Nathan Hale Civic Theater, president at Comprehensive Business Service, router at the U.S. Postal Service, and videographer at Mark Johnson Video. She has further lent her time to several charitable efforts between 1965 and 2007.
Demonstrating versatility in her field, Ms. Johnson completed coursework at numerous institutions, such as CPI Hartford, the Paier College of Art, Post College and the University of Connecticut. She is a licensed hairdresser and cosmetologist in the state of Connecticut. In an effort to remain abreast of developments within the industry, she has also maintained affiliation with the International Society of Poets, the National Association of Letter Carriers, the Poetry Society of America, and the Screen Actors Guild-American Federation of Television and Radio Artists.
Ms. Johnson has had her work on display in group and solo shows across the state of Connecticut, including in Norwalk, CT, at the Woodbury Library, at the Artistic License Gallery and at the Silas Bronson Library Exhibition. Likewise, she has authored two books, “From Dawn to Dusk” and “It’s All About Me.” In recognition of her outstanding contributions to her industry, she has been selected for inclusion in the 27th edition of Who’s Who of American Women and the 62nd and 63rd editions of Who’s Who in America.
