Supported by 25 years of experience in both artistic pursuits and the health care industry, Ms. Sherman is an esteemed and respected health care professional and poet. Since 2003, she has been a substitute paraprofessional for Adecco Staffing in Rockford, IL, having previously served Catholic Cemeteries as a sales representative, St. Anne Center as an activity assistant, and Cambridge House LLC as a co-owner and writer. Prior to these illustrious roles, she was a substitute nurse’s aide at Lutheran Family and Children’s Services and a nanny for private homes. She commenced her career as a nurse’s aide and caregiver for Complete Health Care, Inc., in 1993.
The recipient of a medical administrative assistant degree from the Ross Medical Education Center, Ms. Sherman maintains membership with the International Society of Poets and was the co-founder of the Writer’s Challenge Literature Association in 1997. In her spare time, she enjoys contributing to her community through the Holy Family Traditional Choir, Total Living Network and National Health Care. She has also been a retreat aide and speaker for Handicapped Encounter Christ and a tutor with the Montessori Learning Center.
The author of myriad poems, Ms. Sherman has accrued several accolades for her literary prowess. The recipient of an Editor’s Choice Award from the National Library of Poetry, she also received the President Award for Literary Excellence from the Author’s Registry. Notably, she was selected for inclusion in the 58th edition of Who’s Who in America for her work. Married to Richard Ernest Sherman since 1988, Ms. Sherman is the proud mother of four sons and four grandsons. She enjoys reading, writing and interior decorating in her spare time.
