Beatrice Ross, Abstract Painter, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Artists for dedication, achievements, and leadership in painting and poetry.
For as long as she can remember, Mrs. Ross’ life has been filled with music, dance, and visual arts. She would write stories from a very young age, and language arts became a major part of her life. She wrote and produced plays as well as acted in plays, danced on stage, and was a professional abstract painter for over 50 years as well as a talented poet. She professionally honed her skills at Hunter College, the City College of New York and the Brooklyn Museum Art School, studied under Ruben Tam, Wang Chi Yuan and Leo Manso and is also a scholar of School Of Chinese Brush Work. Mrs. Ross currently lives in Florida and has been represented by various galleries including the Lawrence Gallery in Delray Beach, Florida, the Patrician Gallery in West Palm Beach, Florida, and the Gillary Gallery in Jericho, New York. Mrs. Ross has also been the owner of the Jean Rosenthal-Bea Ross Gallery, also in Jericho, New York. Additionally, Mrs. Ross founded the Birchwood Art League and was able to help a group of students by receiving a grant to teach them art and positively changed their lives.
Mrs. Ross has a unique creative process with her abstract art. Her process involves trans-illuminating the surface so that the light passing through will give a euphoric sense and experience in her work. Her gestural strokes and markings begin to give meaning with a canvas of bold and very subtle colors. As a testament to her artistic success, Mrs. Ross has been presented with the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award and the Judge’s Recognition Award from the Boca Raton Museum. She has also earned numerous awards for her oil paintings and has been inducted to the National Women’s Hall of Fame. She holds a membership with various organizations such as the Professional Artists Guild of Long Island, the Professional Artists Guild of Florida, and the Boca Raton Museum Artist Guild, among other organizations. Furthermore, Mrs. Ross been featured in multiple editions of Who’s Who in America, Who’s Who in the World, and Who’s Who of American Women and advises those who wanted to enter the profession to be true to themselves and express themselves authentically.
