Carlos Burgess, Owner of Carlos Burgess Arts & Creative Works LLC, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Artists for dedication, achievements, and leadership in digital art.
Mr. Burgess was initially inspired to go into the field of art because of the feedback he received from people on his artwork. He started his pursuit of art by taking classes at a community college, until he was told that only 20% of the people that graduate from art school get a job as a commercial artist, so in 1998 he made the decision to join the U.S. Army. When he entered the force, he took a test to see what skill he should pursue and he received a high score. Based on his score he was offered two jobs, either to become a cook or a power generations equipment repairman, he chose the second. Mr. Burgess liked learning this skill because his goal was to become an electronics engineer. During his time in the U.S. Army, he joined the Georgia National Guard as a technician and he loved it, but then September 11th happened and he was deployed to the Middle East. This is when his love of art came back. As soon as he came back, he started to pursue art. He was with the U.S. Army until 2001 and stayed with the National Guard until he was honorably discharged in September 2010.
In 2006, Mr. Burgess received an associate degree in electronics/computer technology from Devry University. After receiving his degree, he worked as a service technician with Buskro Ltd. from 2006 to 2008 and ENV Services from 2008 to 2016. In 2017, he became the owner of Carlos Burgess Arts & Creative Works LLC. Mr. Burgess works with digital art, charcoal and graphite, acrylic paints and dry pastels. He has recently been working on creating cartoon strips. He is working towards making a mark for the digital artist acrylic gel medium and wants to license his art to businesses and manufacturing companies that need well art decor for their offices, workspaces, and lobbies.
