Ernesto Rodriguez, Artist, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Artists for dedication, achievements, and leadership in art and art instruction.
As a student, Mr. Rodriguez studied at the Art Students League, the Brooklyn Museum of Art, at the University of Innsbruck in Austria. He eventually earned a Bachelor in Fine Arts from the Parsons School of Design in 1979. In 1970, he started his career as an art educator, working as an art and woodworking instructor for the Emerson School in New York City. He continued teaching in various capacities, working as an artist instructor and an art specialist at various camps. In 1984, Mr. Rodriguez worked as an art instructor for St. Francis of the Assisi, where he worked until 1993. For a few years, he was a senior crafts instructor at the Jewish Guild for the Blind, and has worked independently for his own private company as a commission artist since 1990.
In addition to his work as an art educator, Mr. Rodriguez has had myriad works of art exhibited in various galleries, festivals, and public spaces. His works have been displayed in the Mercer Gallery, Durban Art Gallery, Madison Square Garden, Pine Tree Art Gallery, International Art Gallery, Winners Circle Art Gallery, Rare Discoveries Gallery, Zoma Art Gallery, and many others. He is a Museum of Art Educational Counselor, and has also worked within his community, as a counselor for Covenant House in New York City, and as a rehabilitation specialist for Project Reachout. He is also a member of the International Society of Poets. As a testament to his success, talent, and experience as an artist, Mr. Rodriguez has been included in the 60th and 61st editions of Who’s Who in America.
