Always an entrepreneur, Mr. Copplestone started and owned his own landscaping company in 1967, where he worked until 1973. He started his own home improvement contracting business in 1973, and began studying at the Art Institute of Boston. After earning a diploma in 1975, he continued to work as a contractor, and founded Copplestone Artworks in 1980. In 1998, he founded Gourmet Games, and in 2011, he founded Copplestone LLC. As a game inventor, he has created The Orbiter, E.S.P., Lots, Copplestone’s Putting Rail, Pandemonium, MACHZ, Peggotty, Meltdown, Stackm, and more. Mr. Copplestone is most proud of his invention of The Orbiter, which was shown at the Boston Gift Show in 1990.

As an artist, Mr. Copplestone credits Cezanne, Matisse, Monet, Degas, and more as artistic influences in his career, and has created many canvas paintings throughout his career. He characterizes his style as fairly representational with an emphasis on color and the free choice of color. He was inspired to create games when he visited the Caribbean and saw a version of the game Ring the Bulls Nose, a ring-and-hook game popular in the region. He was an associate member of the Cambridge Art Association, the Coply Society, and the Italo American Educational Club. As a testament to his success and talent as an artist, game designer, and entrepreneur, Mr. Copplestone has been featured in the 18th edition of Who’s Who in the World, the 24th and 25th editions of Who’s Who in the East, and multiple editions of Who’s Who in America.
