Pat Martin, Artist and Art Educator, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Artists for dedication, achievements, and leadership in the fields of drawing and abstract painting.
Growing up in southern California, Ms. Martin and was outside often and had access to an excellent property where she could just be in nature. She was very spiritual and religious. During her time at the University of California Los Angeles, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in art, she heard about how to merge with the oneness of life and has since incorporated this theme in her work. Additionally, she attended the Otis Art Institute and achieved special secondary education credentials. Ms. Martin has always enjoyed creating art and is excited when she makes new discoveries throughout her artistic process. She has shared her knowledge with others via workshops and lectures at locations such as the James A. Michener Art Museum, the Robert Beck Academy, Bucks County Community College, and Delaware Valley College, among other locations.
As a testament to her success, Ms. Martin has held memberships with a variety of professional organizations, including the Princeton Artists Alliance, the Roots Critique Group, and the Phillips’ Mill Art Association. She has been lauded with the Purchase Prize from the James A. Michener Art Museum in 1998, the Patrons Prize from the Phillips Mill Art Exhibit in 1998, and has been awarded a James A. Michener Art Museum Grant in 2007. Ms. Martin’s creative works include, but are certainly not limited to, the one-woman Elephant Eye Tour show at, Bunker Hill Studio in Ottsville, Pennsylvania, “Meditations” at the Des Champs Gallery in Lambertville, work displayed at the Marta Aizenman Gallery in Princeton, New Jersey, and contributions of articles to professional journals.
