As a young girl she was able to recognize this driving force and pursued a career in both teaching and performing to share her depth of knowledge and proficiency. She took up playing the piano at five years old, and through the years learned more and more instruments. She continued this love by earning a Bachelor of Science in music education from Mansfield State University and later an Med in elementary education in 1974 from Kutztown University in 1984. She started her career in teaching by opening the doors to Willing Hearts, Hands and Voices Music Studio in 1968. She has also taught music at the City School District of Reading, PA.
As an educator, Ms. Adams has had the honor of watching many students pass through her doors and go on to have a lifelong love and passion for music. One of her students, Jamie Wetzel, requested that she perform with her for her senior concert. She had selected two long, difficult, but beautiful Christian duets. Ms. Adams was honored to be asked by her former student and together they performed and received a warm reception. The same student later asked for Ms. Adams to sing at her wedding. In her career, Ms. Adams received the Gold Zeswitz Award.
