Mary Nyman, Artist, Writer, and Educator at Quincy College and Wareham High School, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Artists for dedication, achievements, and leadership in education.
Throughout nearly 40 years of professional experience, Ms. Nyman has served as an administrator at the Quincy College Wareham Campus from 1995 to 1998, having been an English instructor with the school since 1990. Prior to obtaining these goals, she was an English teacher with Wareham Public Schools from 1976 to 1994, and an English instructor with the University of Massachusetts, Fisher College and Boston University from 1959 to 1977. Also, she was awarded an assistantship in the Department of English at Boston University where she served from 1957 to 1959. Later in her career, she garnered experience as an English teacher with Malden Public Schools from 1959 to 1962.
Ms. Nyman first pursued her higher education at Wheaton College, where she obtained a Bachelor of Arts in 1957. She then joined Boston University, earning a Master of Arts in English literature in 1959. She continued her studies with the school, completing postgraduate coursework the same year. She has been certified as a substitute teacher by the New York City Department of Education and as a secondary English and art teacher by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
