Susan Lascelles has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Artists for dedication, achievements, and leadership in abstract and fine art.
Ms. Lascelles was raised with a strong appreciation for art, especially in regards to abstract art. Her parents supported this interest by providing art supplies and taking her to art museums throughout her youth. At eight years old, she waited for three hours in the snow to see the traveling Van Gogh exhibit, which she recalls as one of the most memorable experiences of her life. This nascent adoration for art developed into her passion, inspiring her to pursue the field academically, earning a Bachelor of Arts in fine art from Empire State College in 1990. Her work in the art industry has resulted in numerous accolades, including receiving a grant from Changes Inc. and being recognized as an Academy Merit scholar, Scarlet and Gray, at the Ohio State University.
Ms. Lascelles art has been featured in myriad group shows, exhibitions and permanent collections on national and international stages. Her work has been included in such lauded venues as the Annual Jerome Beillard Festival for Life for Southern Arizona AIDS Foundation, the Woman Kraft Gallery, Färber Hüsli in Switzerland, Min Fang Liu in Japan, the Alamo Gallery and various others. Looking toward the future, she would like to ensure the opening of her show, a retrospective at the Guggenheim in New York, or at a show of current work at a great gallery, such as the Paula Cooper Gallery. Ms. Lascelles attributes her success to her hard work, perseverance and family support.
