Veronica Tapsony, B.M., M.M., Musician and Music Educator at Mozart and Beyond Piano Studio, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Artists for dedication, achievements, and leadership in performing arts.
Ms. Tapsony became involved in her profession because she had a love of music. When she was 16 years old, she pursued music. She started as a ballerina but got into an accident, so she chose to go into music. Ms. Tapsony followed her passion throughout her higher education, receiving a Bachelor of Music in 1968 and a Master of Music in 1970 from the University of Missouri. She previously received a Teacher’s Diploma from the Conservatory of Gyor in Hungary. While there, she was the recipient of the Franz List Prize from the Conservatory of Gyor in 1960.
Before fully embracing a career in teaching, Ms. Tapsony made her debut at Wigmore Hall in London in 1974. She has had performances in London, Amsterdam, Salzburg, Vienna, San Francisco, Evanston, Kansas City and numerous other cities in Europe and the United States. Ms. Tapsony began her teaching career in 1969 at the Conservatory of Music at the University of Missouri-Kansas City and remained until 1977. While there, she was also an artist-in-residence with the William Jewell College from 1970 to 1979. In 1987, she became a music educator at Ocean County College, and in 1993, she took on the position of music educator at Burlington Community College and held both positions until 2003. In 2005, Ms. Tapsony opened Mozart and Beyond Piano Studio and continues to own it to this day. As a testament to her success, Ms. Tapsony is listed in the 27th edition of Who’s Who in the East.
