Margaret Casella, Artist, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Artists for dedication, achievements, and leadership in photography.
Ms. Casella commenced her artistic career when she was accepted into the Wood Tobe-Coburn School for Fashion Careers in New York City. Prior to the institution’s closing in 2017, it had served as the premier school for fashion students looking to break into the industry. Through her studies, Ms. Casella became more aware of the fashion world and developed a keen sense for finding beauty in unexpected places. This ability is what drew her to photography and, specifically, to still life. In 1982, she graduated from Long Island University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts and went on to study at the International Center of Photography in New York City before earning a Master of Fine Arts from C.W. Post/Long Island University.
Building off her previous experience as an assistant buyer for several well-known designer warehouses, Ms. Casella began her career as a photographer working with Brides Magazine. In 1990, she ventured off on her own and started her personal endeavor, Casella Photography. In the years since then, she has excelled as a distinguished artist and photographer. Ms. Casella has additionally found success as a lecturer in her field and as a teacher for local schools. A member of the NYC Woman’s Photography Group, she currently resides on Long Island with her husband. In the future, she looks forward to displaying her work in local shows and possibly within the Museum of Modern Art. As a testament to her success, Ms. Casella is featured in multiple editions of Who’s Who in America, Who’s Who in the East and Who’s Who of American Women.
