Valeria Mravyan, Artist at Valeria Mravyan, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Artists for dedication, achievements, and leadership in art.

Influenced by the work of her parents, who were embedded within the arts as writers, translators and artists, Ms. Mravyan personally discovered her passion for art at the age of 14. She went on to receive an artist’s diploma in textile art, design and applied arts from the Industrial Art College of Moscow in 1974, along with a Master of Arts in applied art from Moscow State Textile University in 1982. Upon her relocation to Canada, Ms. Mravyan found work in a textile design studio, all while also working as a freelance work-from-home artist since 1990.

Building on her professional training, Ms. Mravyan has spent her career experimenting across a variety of mediums including oils, acrylic, watercolors, mixed media, batiks and tapestries. She credits the picturesque scenery of the surrounding Canadian landscape as a constant inspiration for her paintings. Finding great success through her art, Ms. Mravyan’s works have been exhibited in galleries around the world, including the Tokyo Metropolitan Museum of Arts in Japan, the Frankfurt Messe in Germany, the Chagall House in Israel and the Krimsky Most Gallery in Russia. In the United States, she has shown her art at the Monserart Gallery in New York and the Los Gatos Museum of Art in California.

Reflecting on her illustrious career, Ms. Mravyan cites showing her work on Broadway and in museums, as well as her images being published, as the highlights of her professional work. She simply attributes her success to her passion for art. In the coming years, she plans to continue actively painting and work to gain more exposure. To remain abreast of her industry, Ms. Mravyan holds membership with the Canadian Artist Group and the International Artist Society. Likewise, she is dedicated to benefiting the arts as a donor to the Visual Arts Organisation and the Child Aid Foundation. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, taking in nature and listening to classical music.
