Lois Elaine Wallen Wills, a retired Art Gallery Director, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Artists for dedication, achievements, and leadership in the field of fine art.
Ms. Wills, an artist and religious educator, distinguished herself for more than two decades of professional experience in her chosen fields. Initially beginning her career as a substitute teacher throughout various schools from 1985 until 1990, she later earned distinction in both fields, serving as the gallery director of Studio San Giuseppe in Cincinnati, Ohio, the curator of Murdock Art and Antiques, the Cincinnati Antique Mall, and a fine arts gallery in Georgia. Likewise, Ms. Wills excelled as the director of religious education at Saint John the Baptist Church in Dover, Indiana, and in the same capacity at the Blessed Sacrament Church in Fort Mitchell, Kentucky. Following a career suffused with accomplishments, she retired in 2004.
A talented artist in her own right, Ms. Wills has exhibited a creative streak as far back as her early childhood, during which time she drew a portrait of her uncle. In her adulthood, her works were featured across a plethora of venues throughout Ohio, Georgia and Kentucky, including the Clermont County Library in Batavia, Ohio, the Milford Library in Cincinnati and the Cathedral Fresh Art Exhibit in Covington, Kentucky, where she earned a First Place Award in 1998. Furthermore, Ms. Wills has garnered additional accolades, including a First Place recognition by an exhibition hosted in Georgia and an honorable mention through the Georgia State Fair.
Ms. Wills first sought an education at the College of Mount Saint Joseph, where she attained a Bachelor of Fine Arts in 2000. Following this accomplishment, she received a Master of Arts in 2004. Likewise qualified in religious education, she is a certified catechist. Now retired, Ms. Wills enjoys such avocations as reading, traveling, gardening and swimming.
