Ms. Gold’s interest in art started at an early age. Her mother would take her and her sister to museums and art galleries. When Ms. Gold was 13, her mother took her to Europe and that is when her serious interest in art began. She did not take to the career path right away, instead, she explored her interest in teaching. She started in the art field when she was 38 years old. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in French from Boston University in 1967. She then received a Master of Arts in French in 1970.

Ms. Gold is most proud of have the discipline needed to follow her dreams of becoming an artist. Another proud moment was when one of her paintings was sold at an auction benefitting children with cancer. Ms. Gold started out in the education field as a teacher of the Lenox School from 1972 to 1984. She was also a teacher at the Columbia Grammar School from 1975 to 1976. She began her career in 1976 in art as a freelance artist and continued to work in this capacity throughout her career. During her career, she has been represented by the Lizan-Tops Gallery in Easthampton, New York, Canyon Ranch in Lenox, Massachusetts, Martha Keats Gallery in Santa Fe, Karin Zatt in Los Angeles, Ruzettin and Gow in New York City, Morrisson Gallery in Kent, Connecticut, The Flinn Gallery in Greenwich, Connecticut and the Cavalier Gallery in New York City have represented her. Since 2021, the Tyrell Gallery in Cambridge has represented her. Her work has been shown at numerous group shows and featured in the Herbert F. Johnson Museum of Art in Ithaca, New York.

As a testament to her success, Ms. Gold has received myriad accolades including but not limited to the Pastel Artist’s Bible Award in 2006, Best of Flower Painting Award from North Light Books, Artists Magazine Landscape Award in 1991 and 1993, Mixed Media Painting Award in 2011 and was name Art Tour International Magazine Juried Artist of the Year by Artaviva.com. She has also been inducted as a member of the Studio Center Artist’s Association, Cassatt Pastel Society, and the National Association of Women Artists.
