Barbara Stanton, Artist and Art Instructor, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Artists for dedication, achievements, and leadership in the fine arts.

As an accomplished professional artist for more than 40 years, Ms. Stanton has had her work featured in numerous series, exhibitions, and galleries, including the Sierra Artists Gallery, where she was recognized with two first-place finishes and two honorable mentions in the Best in Show awards in 2021. She has also had her work featured on book covers, including for the covers of “Bridges to Balance” and “Triumph of Teams” by Rick Greggs, published by Tantalus Books in 1999 and 2004, respectively. Ms. Stanton was a featured artist in Dollhouse Miniatures magazine in 2009 and was also a featured artist in the series “Colour in Your Life with Graeme Stevenson” in 2016, among many other exhibitions.

Ms. Stanton has shared her artistic expertise through a figure drawing workshop at the Bothwell Arts Center in Livermore, California, and serves as a gallery director for the Livermore Art Association. She maintains membership as a fellow of the International Guild of Miniature Artisans, is a signature member of the Miniature Artists of America and the Hilliard Society of Miniature Art, and is affiliated with the Cider Painters of America, among many other organizations. Ms. Stanton honed her craft as a student at Chabot College and Las Positas College, where she completed coursework in general art, technical illustration, graphic design, drafting and computer graphics, as well as a portrait painting workshop with Daniel Green in 1997. She began drawing at the age of two, and her career has been sustained by a lifelong passion for art. In the coming years, Ms. Stanton looks forward to the continued success and development of her career.
