Maureen Hubbard Cribbs, Artist, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Artists for dedication, achievements, and leadership in fine art and education.
Having led a prolific career as an oil painter and fine arts educator, Ms. Cribbs has garnered a laudable reputation through her studio work at Park Forest, Illinois, since 1979. Confident working in all media, she is fully committed to expressing herself through the creation of a singular piece. Throughout the span of her professional journey, she has also served as a painting instructor for the Village Artists of Flossmoor, Illinois, from 1980 until 1987 and an artist-in-residence for the Park Forest Community Arts Council in 1983. Ms. Cribbs also found success in Park Forest as a humanities instructor for School District 227 from 1978 to 1979 and an art teacher for School District 163 between 1960 and 1978.
In addition to her primary vocation, Ms. Cribbs has served as a docent for the Nathan Manilow Sculpture Park since 2010, and a presenter and faculty member at various art institutions. Her work has been included in numerous group and solo shows at the Union Street Gallery of Chicago Heights, the Gretchen Charlton Gallery at the Kankakee, Illinois, the Steeple Gallery at St. John, Indiana, West Liberty University, the Creative Experience Gallery in Frankfort, Illinois and Denver International Airport, among others. Additionally, Ms. Cribbs is most proud to have created 15 works for the Freedom Hall in 1982. For her outstanding contributions to the field, she has received numerous monetary grants, and was inducted into the Park Forest Hall of Fame in 2015.
