Rosalind A. Amigo, Artist, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Artists for dedication, achievements, and leadership in oil painting, sculpting and jewelry making.
With an aptitude for the creative space, Ms. Amigo desired to grow and expand her skills by attending Washington Irving High School, which offered prominent art classes. While building her artistic portfolio, she chose to pivot to the world of fashion and went on to study at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City. During her time at the institution, Ms. Amigo took a jewelry class with reintroduced her to the discipline she once took part in as a child. Her instructor was the designer for Tiffany and she credits his guidance and expertise for much of her knowledge in jewelry design and crafting today.
Today, Ms. Amigo continues to thrive as an artist, specializing in oil painting, sculpting, jewelry making and box making. She attributes much of her artistic success to her passion and to the people she has met along the way. An animal lover, Ms. Amigo cites her most notable achievement has been rescuing 14 dogs. She currently resides in Ruidoso, New Mexico. The advice that Ms. Amigo can offer the next generation or others aspiring to work in her profession would be to do your artwork on the side, on a part-time basis, because you must be able to support yourself and your art supplies financially.
