Company: Hill Country Arts Piercings and Tattoos

Roberto Berrios, Artist at Hill Country Arts Piercings and Tattoos, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Artists for dedication, achievements, and leadership in entrepreneurship.

Mr. Berrios has been a successful tattooist for more than three decades, specializing in most genres of design including black and greyscale, full color, watercolor, nautical designs, biomechanical, traditional, contemporary, biomechanical, tribal and post mastectomy cosmetic tattooing. In reviews, his work has been described as “utterly amazing, gorgeous and awe-striking.” Since 2017, he has parlayed his experience into a prosperous run as owner and chief tattoo artist of Hill Country Arts Piercings and Tattoos in Dripping Springs.

A Connecticut native, Mr. Berrios pursued coursework in chemistry at Southern Connecticut State University in New Haven in 1998. Initially drawn to the visual arts and performing his first tattoo at age 10, inspired by his uncle’s tattoos, he became devoted to creative expression. He served his country as a United States Navy corpsman during Operation Desert Storm and decided to abandon his lifelong dream of becoming a pediatrician after the tragic death of his first wife from leukemia while he was in his early 20s. He opened a tattoo studio and assumed the nom de plume “Seize Medallion” after a young girl he knew used the phrase to mean “to capture the world and hold it close.”

In coming years, Mr. Berrios would like to be able to teach tattooing to artists and would also like to open a mobile tattoo clinic to bring his craft closer to other people. His motto is “Live, love, and perform.”
