Bonnye Matthews, Owner at BooksByBonnye, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Artists for dedication, achievements, and leadership in fiction writing.

Ms. Matthews is one of the foremost practitioners in the genre of prehistoric fiction. Her novel series, “Winds of Change,” focused on the peopling of the North American continent in the era before glaciation, while her new series, “Archaeological Sites in the Americas,” takes place before the end of the last Ice Age glaciation. Her informed research and fictionalization on people in the Americas of many millennia ago makes for a rewarding and informing reading experience.

After obtaining a Bachelor of Science in English and education from Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) in Richmond in 1965, Ms. Matthews provided superior service as a high school teacher, commercial casualty insurance underwriter, personal management evaluator and in organization planning before publishing her first novel in 2011.

Ms. Matthews’ fiction has won numerous awards that include 1st Place for Fiction Award, “Ki’ti’s Story, 75,000 BC,” “Manak-na’s Story, 75,000 BC,” “Tuksook’s Story, 35,000 BC,” “The SealEaters, 20,000 BC,” and “250,000 BC: Out from the Shadow of Popocatepetl,” from Alaska Professional Communicators, an organization promoting high ideals in print, broadcast and electronic journalism. Her memberships include the Alaska Professional Communicators, Alaska Writers Guild, National Federation of Press Women, 49 Writers and Pleistocene Coalition, which is a group of researchers challenging the tenets of mainstream scientific agendas. Ms. Matthews would like readers to know that “her purpose in life is to help people and be a benefit to someone else.”
