Title: Designer (Retired)
Location: Eugene, Oregon, United States
Joseph Balletta, Retired Designer, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Artist for dedication, achievements, and leadership in art production and entrepreneurship.
Born in 1947 in Queens, New York, Mr. Balletta is an artist who works in a variety of media. By exploring the concept of landscape in a nostalgic way, he considers making art a craft that is executed using clear formal rules and which should always refer to social reality. In addition, he has excelled as a designer, writer, organic farmer and gardener, interested in horticulture and botany, specifically the history of medicinal botany in the West and East. In the 1970s, he prospered as director of marketing for a leading hair care product company, with many well-known cosmetologists such as Paul Mitchell and Jeri Redding.
During the same decade, Mr. Balletta also obtained a massage license in Gainesville, Florida in the late 1970s, as he had become interested in massage therapy as an addendum to his interest in alternative medicine. In addition, he has owned a catering company, Jaskos Fine Foods, and has published several books of poetry as well as a memoir, “The Collar Bone Days in My Search for God.”
Presently, Mr. Balletta is in the midst of establishing his own educational facility to be called Priam 77. It consists of three divisions that include an educational facility for advanced educators and learners, an innovative facility centering around environmental designs, and a scholarship facility centering on futuristic artwork.
