Igor Zaytsev, Painter at Zaytsev Fine Art, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Artists for dedication, achievements, and leadership in art production.

Hailing from Ukraine, Mr. Zaytsev obtained a bachelor’s degree of art in 1977 from the Lugansk State Academy of Culture and Arts. He began his career as an artist at the age of 20 when he participated in the National Art competition show in Kyiv in 1979 and subsequently earned a Master of Fine Arts from the National Academy of Fine Arts and Architecture in Kyiv in 1983.

In 1987 Mr. Zaytsev’s abstract paintings were included in the first national new wave art competition show “Youth of Nation” where his work was selected for the collection of the Ministry of Culture of Ukraine.  In 1990 some of his paintings became a part of the collection of National Union of Artists of the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics (USSR). Mr. Zaytsev subsequently participated in international shows at the United Nations and Lincoln Center in New York City as well as in Geneva and Moscow.

After immigrating to the United States in 2001, Mr. Zaytsev founded the Igor Zaytsev Fine Art gallery in Petoskey, Michigan, where he shows his eclectic collection of different styles of oils on canvas and pencil drawings of fanciful landscapes and abstract figures. After moving to New York to be closer to a more centralized art clientele, he missed his old home in Petoskey and moved back in 2014.

As a career highlight, Mr. Zaytsev mentions his participation in international art shows, including one with the Shanghai Art Fair, as well as his arts being bought by government organizations and well-known companies. His goal in the coming years is to be able to focus on his art full time.
