Yuvrat Ramsaroop, Author, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Artists for dedication, achievements, and leadership in fiction and autobiographical writing.

Hailing from British Guiana, now the independent nation of Guyana, Mr. Ramsaroop obtained a bachelor’s degree in economics and finance from McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada in 1973. Though he had never received a high school education in British Guiana, he passed an examination at age 16 that paved the way for him to become a primary school teacher for nearly a decade. Mr. Ramsaroop worked as manager for Consumers Distributing Company and was transferred in 1979 to the United States operations, where he settled in Highland Park, New Jersey. He eventually spent twenty years working for Consumers Distributing Company, a catalog retailer.

Mr. Ramsaroop has received renown for his series of self-published books of short stories that include “A Christmas Wish for Nisha: The Story of a Boy Who Wrote a Letter to Santa Claus,” “Miracle on the Train Track,” “The Message: A Tale of an Old Man and His Dreams” and “In the Eyes of the Beholder.” In his autobiography, “Realizing the American Dream: The Personal Triumph of a Guyanese Immigrant,” published in 2013, Mr. Ramsaroop recounts growing up poor on sugar plantation in a family of thirteen in British Guiana and seeking a college education in Canada and a better life in the United States, where he now owns a home and has been able to send his two daughters to medical school and who are physicians today.

Mr. Ramsaroop has received a certificate from the mayor of New York for his volunteerism efforts encouraging children to receive an education to reach their highest goals. His autobiography has been assigned in many high school curricula due to its detailed history of Guyana. Now in his seventies, Mr. Ramsaroop is looking forward in the near future to finishing his latest book, “I Met An Angel,” and publishing it with the year. In addition, he would like to turn his books into films, which he would love to direct himself. Since his dream of giving his children an education has come true, his vision for his three grandchildren is higher education from the best universities.
