Linda Suzanne Wilmes, Fine Artist at Wilmes Fine Art Studio, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Artists for dedication, achievements, and leadership in painting.
With more than 55 years of experience to her credit, Ms. Wilmes has excelled as a fine artist with the Wilmes Fine Art Studio since 1965. In addition to this position, she has been additionally active as an art teacher since 1980, having hosted classes and workshops at the O’Fallon Cultural Arts Center, the Foundry Art Centre, the St. Peters Community and Arts Center, Art Unleashed in Chesterfield, Missouri and the Jacoby Arts Center, to name a few. As an artist, Ms. Wilmes has had her works represented in the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Wentzville, Missouri, the Pitman Funeral Home in Wentzville, St. Theodore Catholic Church in Wentzville, the Good Shepherd School in Hillsboro, Missouri and the St. Gianna Catholic Church in Wentzville, to name a few.
Ms. Wilmes found further success as a volunteer with local church and veterans affairs organizations. A self-taught artist, she has been presented with the Second Place Award from the St. Louis Watercolor Society in 2011, the First Place Award from the Augusta Annual Plein Air Event in 2010, the Best of Show Award from the Gateway Pastel Artists Show in 2010, the First Place Award from the Gateway Pasel Artists Annual Show in 2009 and the Award of Excellence from the St. Louis Watercolor Society in 2008 and 2009. Having notably sold her first painting while enrolled in high school, Ms. Wilmes has also proudly thrived as the owner and resident artist with the Framations Art Gallery in St. Charles, Missouri.
