With years of experience to his credit, Mr. McClellan has excelled as a writer with The Dallas Voice Magazine since 2020. He has been additionally active as a writer for Believe Out Loud since 2020 and Cathedral of Hope, the world’s largest LGBTQ+ church denomination, since 2019. Moreover, he has found success as the author of “Messages of Hope” and “The Ant’s Palace,” both of which were published through the Texas Book Publishers Association in 2022. Prior to these appointments, Mr. McClellan found success as an organizer, canvasser and fundraising director for a number of nonprofit organizations, including Greenpeace, Children’s International, Save the Children and The Human Rights Campaign.
Before embarking on his professional path, Mr. McClellan pursued an education at Patrick Henry College, at which he completed undergraduate coursework. As a testament to his stellar endeavors, he has appeared on Fox 4’s “Good Day” on multiple occasions and has been recognized among the 50 Winners in the Writer’s Digest 90th Annual Competition in 2021. Initially drawn to writing as a way to cope with his diagnosed schizophrenia and mental illness, he was later inspired to share his messages of hope through his writings as well as spread awareness about inclusion, inter-faith dialogue and the effects of poverty on the spirit. Currently collaborating with the Emmy Award-winning Turtle Creek Chorale, Mr. McClellan hopes to publish his next book, “Messages of Peace,” and become a motivational speaker in 2023 while planning to pen four additional books and a number of children’s books in the coming years.
