Dawn Renee Darnell, photographer and owner at A Desert Dawn, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Artists for dedication, achievements, and leadership in photography.
Bolstered by 15 years of experience in the field, Ms. Darnell specializes in artistic photography. Since 2016, she has operated as the owner and photographer at A Desert Dawn, where she documents nature and special events such as graduation ceremonies and weddings. She is also highly skilled in the art of drawing, and she often reimagines her photographs as sketches. In 2022, she published “God’s Creations Captured: Real Photography” and she was accepted into the Academy of Interactive and Inner Arts as a judge. Adjacent to her primary profession, Ms. Darnell also remains an active member of her community, serving as an ordained minister and as a disaster relief chaplain.
As part of her dedication to her professional endeavors, Mr. Darnell earned an associate’s degree in 1996. She also serves as a board member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and as a lifetime board member of the Artist Gallery in Carlsbad, New Mexico. To commemorate her accomplished career, she has received global recognition and was awarded as one of the Best of the Best in Photography in 2021 and 2022 when her work was selected among seven million submitted images from over 130 countries. Attributing much of her success to her passion for her craft, she is notably proud to have served as the illustrator for her husband’s book, “Because of You, I Lost Everything!,” which was published in July 2022 and is currently being considered for a television mini-series adaptation. In the coming years, Ms. Darnell hopes to continue illustrating both biographical and children’s books.
