Lisa Lee, Artist & Founder at Gallery of the Arts, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Artists for dedication, achievements, and leadership in the visual and performing arts.

With more than 15 years of experience to her credit, Ms. Lee has excelled as an artist and the founder of Gallery of the Arts since 2015. Specializing in the Japanese method of art known as Gyotaku, she previously served as a manager for Blick Art Materials from 2007 to 2010. Before embarking on her professional path, Ms. Lee pursued an education at the University of Central Florida, from which she earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology with a minor in piano performance in 2007.

Beyond her responsibilities within the field, Ms. Lee has participated in numerous endeavors outside of her professional circles. A talented pianist, she has performed piano at various concert and music halls. Furthermore, she works in her spare time as a private piano teacher and a volunteer art teacher at local schools. Ms. Lee has likewise donated myriad works of art to charity tournaments, including those to support Dolphins Plus Marine Mammal Responder, The Turtle Hospital and local coral reef restoration.

In light of her exceptional undertakings, Ms. Lee has been featured on both PBS’ “Art Loft” in 2021 and Discovery Channel’s “Only in the Florida Keys” in 2022. She also supports regional high school students with college scholarships established with the sales of her artwork. Moreover, Ms. Lee remains active as a member of both the Islamorada Chamber of Commerce and the Nature Printing Society.

Ms. Lee attributes her success to the support of her family, as she had a close relationship with her father during her formative years which helped to spark her interest in the ocean and marine life. She was additionally inspired by the opportunity to combine her passions for fishing and artistry, as she is able to truly make the most of her catches. Among the many highlights of her career, she is grateful to have established her own gallery, which houses her work and the work of other local artists, in 2015. Looking toward the future, Ms. Lee hopes to continue traveling around the world in order to catch and study rare, unique species while crafting works of art.
