Nathaniel “Thorney” Lieberman, photographer at Thorney Lieberman Photography, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Artists for dedication, achievements, and leadership in photography.

Leveraging over five decades of experience, Mr. Lieberman has excelled as a professional photographer since 1968. An expert in capturing large-scale architecture and life-size portraits, he is the owner of Thorney Lieberman Photography, his own personal photography brand through which he conducts all of his business and produces all of his work. Over the course of his career, he has acquired a wide berth of brilliant snapshots, including one in 1973 of the World Trade Center before it had been completed. Adjacent to his primary duties, Mr. Lieberman has dedicated himself to freelance photography since 2005, and he has published several books collecting his work, including “Manhattan Lightscape” in 1990 and “The Kentucky State Capitol Building” in 2017.

Prior to embarking on his vocational journey, Mr. Lieberman pursued a formal education at Bard College, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in 1967. To commemorate his accomplishments in the field, he has been honored with several accolades, including the Governor’s D. Gene Jordan Award in 2007. He was also previously nominated to the West Virginia Executive Magazine Sharp Shooters. In light of his fulfilling career, he largely attributes his success to his talents, approachable personality and the support of his friends. In the coming years, Mr. Lieberman hopes to find more spaces where he can permanently display his photography so that it can persist for many more generations. Some of his work can currently be found in an exhibition in the Museum of the City of New York.
