Over the course of his career, Mr. Hand has designed innumerable gardens of all sizes in California, Oregon, Washington, and abroad in various European nations and the Caribbean.
Mr. Hand owns and preserves several historic homes in Pennsylvania, Maine and California. Additionally, he owns Heidelberg Hall, a private museum located in Pennsylvania that features a multimillion-dollar collection of late 19th-century American furnishings and art. He also serves as a patron for other artisans, painters, sculptors and musicians seeking support in their own artistic endeavors. Mr. Hand largely attributes his success to his flexibility as a creator, as well as the word-of-mouth recommendations his customers have offered to others regarding his work. Looking to the future, he intends to continue restoring historic properties in the hopes of subsequently donating them to local communities.
