Christopher B. Mooney, Artist, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Artists for dedication, achievements, and leadership in modern contemporary portrait and landscape art.
Since 1983, Mr. Mooney has worked as an independent artist with his eponymously named company. He holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in illustration and photography from the Parson’s School of Design, which he earned in 1983, and has since worked as a professional painter. Mr. Mooney specializes in portrait and landscape art, and his technique blends the work of old masters with a modern sensibility.
Among his work, Mr. Mooney is proudest of his art depicting bridges. He has also produced large-scale portraits, and in the coming years, he plans to serve as a juror for the Society of Washington Artists. TO keep abreast of his field, Mr. Mooney has maintained membership with the Oil Painters of America. In his spare time, he enjoys ballroom swing dancing, theater, museums, walking, hiking, nature and photography.
