Since 2015, Ms. Tresnowski has found success as an art teacher and fine arts department liaison for the North Chicago School District 187. Since 2012, she has additionally excelled as the principal of Judy Tresnowski Art and Design. Before these roles, she was the design and marketing director of Northpoint Horizons from 2007 to 2012, supervising designer with Harcourt Achieve from 1999 to 2007, senior designer with Pearson Education from 1995 to 1999 and senior designer with Publications International Ltd. Ms. Tresnowski began her career in art and design as a graphic designer with Filene’s Department Store from 1983 to 1986 and a designer with Fidelity Investments from 1986 to 1989.
In preparation for her career, Ms. Tresnowski attended the University of Michigan, earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts in graphic design, intaglio printmaking and art education. In 2022, she graduated from National Louis University with a Master of Education in curriculum and instruction. Alongside her degrees, she holds an Illinois Teaching Certification in K-12 Art Education. Ms. Tresnowski has also been certified in special education and classical and ancient studies. To keep abreast of her field, she maintains affiliation with Gamma Phi Beta. In her spare time, she enjoys cross-country skiing, kayaking and outdoor sports.
