Fay Wood, Artist and Sculptor at the Fay Wood Studio/Gallery, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Artists for dedication, achievements, and leadership in sculpture, drawing and painting.
An accomplished artist with decades of experience to her credit, Ms. Wood has excelled as an artist and sculptor at the Fay Wood Studio/Gallery in Saugerties, New York, since 1960 and 1992, respectively. Since 2017, she has worked with the Emerge Gallery. Among her accomplishments, Ms. Wood participated in a Public Broadcasting Service worldwide broadcast about online artists in 2019 and was invited to participate in the 12th Florence Biennale exhibition in that same year. Moreover, Ms. Wood has provided her wealth of expertise to students through a Masterclass at SUNY Orange in 2012 and was invited to participate in the “Time, Space, Existence” exhibition at the European Cultural Centre in 2017. In 2008, Ms. Wood was profiled by Raymond J. Steiner in the June issue of the Art Times Journal.
For her achievements, Ms. Wood was inducted into the National Association of Women Artists in 2010 and received the Proskauer Prize from the National Sculpture Society in 2004. In preparation for her career, she completed coursework at the Massachusetts College of Art and Design. Among her published work, she has been featured in Private Air Magazine in 2022, Art New England Magazine in 2018, Where Women Create Magazine in 2014, and Catskill Guide Magazine in 2004 and 2007. A juror at the Woodstock Artists Association and Museum, Ms. Wood’s works include her drawing “In the Mountains” as well as her sculpture “Three-ring Pandemic Circus,” and she was a featured artist at the Manhattan Arts International Gallery in 2004 and 2007. To keep abreast of her field, she is a member of the National Sculpture Society, the International Sculpture Society and the Connecticut Academy of Fine Arts.
