James E. Weaver, an adjunct piano instructor at John Hopkins Middle School, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Artists for dedication, achievements, and leadership in music education.
Well-regarded for his expertise as a pianist, Mr. Weaver lends more than 20 years of experience in the field of music education. Through his role as an adjunct piano instructor at John Hopkins Middle School in St. Petersburg, Florida, he is most proud to have cultivated a demonstrable skill for teaching students how to read and practice music. Long dedicated to his passion for teaching students of all ages and skill levels, Mr. Weaver previously served as a piano instructor for the Bringe Music Center’s School of Music and as a lifelong learning class piano teacher at Saint Petersburg College. Outside of his primary endeavors in education, he has played the piano on behalf of the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church since 2000, and was the composer-in-residence of the Galaxy Center for the Arts between 2002 and 2010.
Mr. Weaver initially benefited from the tutelage of his original piano instructor, Rosemary Bossom, who served as his first mentor. He subsequently attended St. Petersburg College, from which he earned an Associate of Arts in music and education in 2001. Following this accomplishment, he went on to undertake further studies in human development, psychology and education at Eckerd College, where he received a Bachelor of Arts in 2016. Over the course of his subsequent career, he has been recognized as the Top Teacher of the Year by John Hopkins Middle School in 2022. Looking toward the future, Mr. Weaver aspires to return to school and obtain his graduate degree in social work or clinical counseling, and to perhaps venture into entrepreneurship.
