She further honed her expertise with a diploma in interior design from Chamberlayne Junior College and also completed studies in digital graphics and multimedia arts at Sanford-Brown College in 2011.
Mrs. Wilson’s career began as a draftsman at CC Johnson & Malhotra P.C. (CCJM), where she worked diligently from 1981 to 1992. She then ventured into environmental engineering, creating facility contract drawings and designs for wastewater treatment facilities across multiple states. In 2011, she transitioned to the role of owner and designer at Paula Wilson’s Designs. Simultaneously, she has served as a mobile apps developer and designer at Mobile Apps 1 since 2012.
Ms. Wilson is also an accomplished author, with publications including “Finding Out: Coming to Terms with Adoption” and “Florilegium Library Voices Volume 4.” Her dedication to her craft extends beyond her professional pursuits, as she volunteers at her local church and actively participates in civic and creative endeavors.
Mrs. Wilson attributes her success to her persistence and willingness to explore new opportunities. Her lifelong passion for drawing and creating art has driven her career trajectory, from retail store design to environmental engineering and beyond. Her most fulfilling work as an archaeologist involved studying 18th-century plantation archaeology and documenting artifacts around Annapolis, Baltimore, and Georgetown in Washington, DC. Looking ahead, she is focused on pitching her book for a movie adaptation while continuing to pursue her passion for creating art and writing.
