With three decades of experience to his credit, Mr. Farina has established a successful career in film production, specializing in entertainment and documentaries. He currently excels as president of Rosalia Films, a position he has held since 1995. His projects include directing the short film “The Holistic Life Foundation: Breathing Love into a Community,” and producing, directing, and writing “Coloring the Landscape” and “Stars Over the Sea.” He was also actively involved in the steering committee and co-chair of the speakers’ committee for TEDx from 2013 to 2019, served as a board member of the World Peace Game Foundation from 2014 to 2015, and volunteered with local communities. Reflecting on his path, Mr. Farina attributes his success to his deep passion for his work and continually improving his relationship with the subject matter. In the coming years, he has ambitious plans to release several unique films. One project is a nostalgic look back at a band called the Pep Band from the University of Virginia, known for its outrageous performances, including a humorous mockery of a corrupt politician during a game at the University of Maryland. Another film will delve into the philosophical concept of mortality, featuring interviews with individuals working in the end-of-life industry to provoke thought about life’s finite nature. He has already begun filming this project and is collaborating with Essential to bring it to completion.

Additionally, Mr.  Farina is currently working on “Death Becomes Us: Hands With Us,” a feature documentary exploring the lives and work of those involved in the journey of the human body from death to its final resting place. This film aims to open up conversations about death by examining various perspectives and experiences related to it. His most recent documentary, “A Bridge to Life,” was recently exhibited at the Richmond International Film Festival, winning the 2024 Audience Choice Award for Best Documentary Feature. Mr. Farina was also presented with the 2024 Legacy Award in recognition of his excellence in filmmaking and community leadership.
