Mr. Lantz has established a notable career in digital design and user experience, marked by a commitment to excellence and innovation. Since 2013, he has served as the senior web designer and user experience adviser at Curran & Connors, Inc., where he is recognized for his expertise in developing information architecture, user experience and visual designs for a diverse range of digital products. In this capacity, Mr. Lantz is responsible for researching and strategizing during the information architecture and interaction design phases to optimize user experiences. He communicates research findings, conceptual ideas and design rationale effectively with both clients and team members, ensuring that project goals are met through collaborative efforts.

A hallmark of Mr. Lantz’s tenure at Curran & Connors, Inc., has been his evolution into a confident communicator. Early in his career, he had limited direct client interaction. However, over time, he has significantly strengthened his client communication skills. He now regularly engages with them in real time during the design process, managing live design sessions where feedback is integrated instantly and edits are made collaboratively. Additionally, Mr. Lantz participates in user testing, builds wireframes and creates functional prototypes while collaborating with the creative department to produce innovative, functional and cohesive award-winning work.

In addition to his primary role, Mr. Lantz is the owner of JBL Graphics LLC, where he has provided freelance design services since 2011. Through this venture, he immerses himself in hands-on design work, leveraging his talent to modern design tools to enhance the quality of his deliverables.

Before these roles, Mr. Lantz worked as a web designer at MAXBURST from 2012 to 2013. During this period, he honed his technical skills and gained valuable industry experience that would inform his later achievements. Mr. Lantz’s professional journey began as an intern in the design department at Briarcliffe College in 2011, where he first applied his academic training to real-world projects.

Mr. Lantz’s educational background includes a Bachelor of Fine Arts in graphic design from Briarcliffe College in Bethpage, New York, earned in 2012. His academic experience was shaped by the guidance of dedicated professors, including one who provided mentorship and advice that proved instrumental to his development as a designer. Mr. Lantz has continued to expand his expertise through certifications, including Design Reporting: Workiva, a Design Platform, and Design Reporting: Using Workiva and InDesign, both acquired through Workiva in 2022.

Throughout his career, Mr. Lantz has attributed much of his success to supportive leadership in his professional environment, particularly the guidance of his current supervisor and the unwavering encouragement of his family. These influences have played a pivotal role in fostering Mr. Lantz’s growth and resilience.

Beyond his professional pursuits, Mr. Lantz is civically engaged as a volunteer with Habitat for Humanity of Long Island, where he has contributed to building houses for those in need. He is also committed to supporting his community by donating clothing and books.
