Ms. Melone-Elliott has established a distinguished career in venue management, marked by a series of progressive roles and notable achievements. Since 2022, she has served as the director of Victory Theatre under Venuworks of Evansville LLC, where she oversees all aspects of the facility’s operations. Ms. Melone-Elliott is recognized for her expertise in production booking and music, which has contributed significantly to her success in the industry.

A defining accomplishment during her tenure as the director was orchestrating the restoration and installation of the theater’s iconic marquee. This project, which spanned nearly three decades and involved multiple directors, culminated under her leadership. Ms. Melone-Elliott coordinated the installation process, organized a memorable lighting ceremony, and reengaged both legacy Friends of Victory members and the broader community. The successful illumination of the marquee stands as a testament to her dedication and is regarded as a career highlight.

Before her current role, Ms. Melone-Elliott briefly worked at the Ford Center in 2021 as a production manager. She also excelled as an event coordinator at Victory Theatre between 2016 and 2021. Ms. Melone-Elliott began her professional journey in 2011 as a suites and catering supervisor at Ford Center with Venuworks of Evansville LLC. Notably, Ms. Melone-Elliott became the first, and remains the only, part-time employee to advance to the director level within the organization.

As a child, Ms. Melone-Elliott was immersed in music, beginning at age 4 with piano lessons from a formal instructor, which led to classical training and participation in numerous competitions. She also learned to play the French horn before transitioning to percussion and melody instruments in the band. Although encouraged by family members to pursue a degree in music, Ms. Melone-Elliott chose not to make it her profession, preferring instead to preserve her passion for music while forging a unique career path. Years later, she completed college coursework that provided a foundation for her career. She also earned credentials as a certified venue manager.

Ms. Melone-Elliott’s career reflects an unwavering dedication to excellence in venue management, community involvement and fostering opportunities for others within the arts sector. She attributes much of her success to determination and stubbornness, qualities that have enabled her to overcome challenges and achieve significant milestones throughout her career. Looking ahead, Ms. Melone-Elliott aims to strengthen the Friends of Victory nonprofit organization by creating opportunities for local musicians to engage with Victory Theatre beyond traditional performances. She envisions using various spaces within the facility, including breakout rooms, banquet halls and mezzanines, to provide artists with dynamic platforms to showcase their talents and connect with the community.
