Pursuing his passion after more than two decades in hospitality, he became the chief curator, art mentor and lead artist at Red Blue Arts LLC in Houston, Texas, in 2000.

Recognized as a distinguished contemporary artist, Mr. Seyn has earned acclaim for a career that seamlessly blends artistic excellence with cultural and civic engagement. Among his notable achievements is the creation of the monumental 15-foot painting “Peace Through World Music,” which is prominently displayed at George Bush Intercontinental Airport in Houston.

Mr. Seyn’s commissioned works have been presented to prominent figures, including members of the Bush family and Houston sports leader Bob McNair. In recognition of his contributions to the arts and the community, he was appointed by the Mayor of Houston as a cultural ambassador, representing the city on international trade and cultural missions while participating in numerous civic initiatives.

Mr. Seyn also created a portrait of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, which was presented during the historic Howdy Modi event in Houston. His artistic legacy extends beyond private collections and exhibitions; his etching of Mahatma Gandhi has been permanently installed at the Consulate General of India in Houston, serving as a lasting symbol of peace and cultural heritage.

Renowned for his ability to capture the depth and complexity of the human experience, Mr. Seyn’s paintings are celebrated for their emotional intensity, expressive compositions, and masterful storytelling. His work continues to resonate with audiences across cultures, establishing him as one of the most respected contemporary artists of his generation.

Since founding Red Blue Arts LLC, Mr. Seyn has dedicated his career to inspiring the next generation of artists through exceptional teaching and mentorship. Over the years, he has guided and influenced more than 10,000 students, many of whom have earned admission to prestigious universities, including Rice University, New York University, and several Ivy League institutions, where they have pursued successful academic and creative careers.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, Mr. Seyn quickly adapted his teaching methods by transitioning to virtual instruction, enabling him to continue mentoring students without interruption. His online classes reached aspiring artists across the United States, Canada, Asia, and Russia, expanding his global impact and reinforcing his commitment to making high-quality art education accessible regardless of geographic boundaries

Before pivoting into the art sector, Mr. Seyn’s professional path included a successful tenure as a regional manager at InterContinental Hotels Group PLC. For over 20 years, he excelled in his leading role, representing one of the world’s leading hotel companies.

Mr. Seyn’s journey began with a bachelor’s degree in physics in his home country at the University of Calcutta in India in 1986, followed by a diploma in hotel management from the Institute of Hotel Management in India in 1989. He furthered his education with a Master of Business Administration from Johnson & Wales University in Providence, Rhode Island, on a full academic scholarship in 1991.

Beyond his professional accomplishments, Mr. Seyn is deeply committed to charitable causes. He has supported organizations such as the Akshaya Patra Foundation and CRY through live painting shows and auctions. Mr. Seyn’s involvement extends to volunteering with various Indian organizations and contributing proceeds from fundraising events
to charitable causes.

Looking ahead, Mr. Seyn aims to expand his influence by giving TED talks on the benefits of art and hosting exhibitions across the country. He envisions his work being featured in renowned auction houses like Christie’s and Sotheby’s while continuing to inspire future generations through his teaching and artistic contributions.

Mr. Seyn attributes his success to discipline, perseverance and building meaningful relationships with his students. He emphasizes that talent alone is insufficient without dedication and resilience. Mr. Seyn’s advice to aspiring artists is to maintain clarity of their goals and consistent discipline, treating life as a marathon rather than a sprint.
