Carol Booth, Songwriter at Carol Marie’s Music, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Artists for dedication, achievements, and leadership in music composition and authorship.
In a career spanning over 30 years, Ms. Booth has enjoyed a successful career as a talented songwriter, author and talent manager. After growing up in Louisiana, she relocated to Texas for a time and later returned to Louisiana. During the 1970s and through the mid-1980s, Ms. Booth served as a public relations coordinator for McDonald’s in Houston after maintaining activity in advertising management and marketing for the newspaper Liberty Vindicator.
Realizing her talent and interest in songwriting, she wrote and published her music under her imprint Carol Marie’s Music from 1985 through 1989. Freddy Fender used a song of hers, “Walk Under A Snake,” on his “Texas Balladeer” album and both Conway Twitty and Marty Robbins made choices to record songs of hers. She served as talent manager for Tim McGraw from 1988 to 1991 when he was beginning his successful career in Nashville.
As a survivor of child abuse, Ms. Booth has brought her real-life experiences to her literary career with her first book, the memoir “The Atonement Child: A True Story of Surviving Childhood Abuse.” Her subsequent literary works have described the major phases of her intriguing positive-focused life founded in her spiritual faith.
Reflecting on her life and career, Ms. Booth counts many highlights, the very first of which was her conversion to Christianity at age nine. She is also proud of receiving a college education and raising three amazing daughters. In the coming years, in addition to her songwriting, Ms. Booth will continue writing music mostly and writing short stories in hopes of having them published.
