Liz Ryan, Producer and Director of Ryanworks Inc., has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Artists for dedication, achievements, and leadership in film production.

Ms. Ryan is an accomplished producer and director through her company, Ryanworks Inc. With more than 70 film and television credits, she has been involved in projects including “The Green Mile,” “Alien III,” “Waiting for Guffman” and “Brokedown Palace,” among others. Ms. Ryan was an assistant director for the pilot episode of the acclaimed television series “The Office,” to which she contributed by helping design the show’s production format. Additionally, she has worked on “NYPD Blue” and “All American: Homecoming.”

Ms. Ryan prepared for her career by completing the Directors Guild-Producer Training Plan in 1985. In  1981, she graduated from Harvard University with a Bachelor of Arts in sociology. Prior to her success in film production, she worked as a financial analyst for Morgan Stanley Investment Bank in New York City.

As a testament to her professional excellence, Ms. Ryan was recognized with a Frank Capra Award from the Directors Guild of America in 2008. She also received an award for “NYPD Blue” from the Directors Guild of America in 1996 and a Captain Jonathan Fay Award from Harvard University in 1981. Ms. Ryan has been recognized with the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award, was featured in the Marquis Who’s Who Millennium Magazine. Additionally, she was selected for inclusion in Who’s Who of Professional Women and Who’s Who in America.

To keep abreast of her field, Ms. Ryan maintains affiliation with Women in Media and the Alliance of Women Directors. She attributes her success to her hard work and the support of her family. In the future, Ms. Ryan hopes to work on larger film projects while focusing on hiring women and actors from historically underprivileged groups to foster a diverse and inclusive environment in the entertainment industry. In her spare time, she enjoys running, traveling and yoga.
