Designer with Creative Services Christopher A. Hartwick has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Artists for dedication, achievements, and leadership in advertising and graphic design.
Mr. Hartwick was born with a muscular disease called arthrogryposis. He has overcome tremendous obstacles to be a success in his field. In his current capacity, he has achieved a number of milestones while creating advertisements and layouts for catalogs and magazines, and designing print materials to promote video products. Mr. Hartwick also creates innovative and thought-provoking oil paintings, which are displayed in galleries throughout the country. He has always captivated people’s minds with his artistic capabilities, and after he began working for Bob Jones University, his own perspective began to change for the better. He transitioned from studying education to graphic design, and began painting, using his mouth.
Mr. Hartwick has won several awards for his artwork in community competitions. In 1997, he was accepted as a member of the Mouth and Foot Painting Artists Association (M.F.P.A.), based in Liechtenstein, Europe. M.F.P.A. is an organization that helps disabled artists to become more self-sufficient by displaying and producing their work around the world. He has six drawings published as greeting cards. He uses ballpoint pen, gouache, and watercolor his artwork can be viewed at the Artists Guild Gallery of Greenville, downtown Greenville, SC. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Graphic Design from Bob Jones University, and he is a member of the Mouth and Foot Painters Association, Upstate Visual Arts, Co-Op Gallery Greenville, and the Artist Guild Gallery of Greenville.
