Antoinette Kathleen O’Connell, Artist, Training Executive, Consultant at Training Professionals, Inc., has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives and Artists for dedication, achievements, and leadership in training and oil painting.

Ms. O’Connell always felt the gravitational pull toward the art industry. During her time in college, she had several months off, so she worked for a Gulf oil company. She ended up going back each year, as she felt she could become something. She would learn a different position each year and learn from it. Later on, when she lived in New York, she had work and wanted to find new hobbies. She ended up meeting Jack Gates, an artist who brought art to her eyes. This led her to start making paintings and people would tell her they were good.

Ms. O’Connell earned a Bachelor of Arts in psychology from Immaculata College in 1966. From there, she received a Master of Arts in psychology and counseling from Villanova University in 1967. Once she became interested in art, she studied oil painting with Jack Gates in 1974. Later on, she continued in the art field studying retablo art with Santeros Patricio and Shawna Chavez in Chimayo, New Mexico from 2012 to 2020.

Throughout Ms. O’Connell’s illustrious career, she has always taken things as they come. She began her career as a training specialist with Towers, Perrin, Foster & Crosby Inc. in 1969, remaining until 1972. She moved on to Foremost Insurance Co. in 1972 as an assistant personnel manager until 1974. From there, she became a manager of management development and training credit for J.C. Penney Co. in 1974 until 1980. The following year, she was an assistant vice president for American Express International Banking Corp., and, in 1981, she joined Marine Midland Bank, N.A. as the vice president until 1987. In 1988, she became the chairman of Training Professionals, Inc., remaining until 1997.  During her career, Ms. O’Connell also exhibited her artwork as a solo artist at the Revision Gallery in 1989 and Art A La Carte in 1994. She exhibited her artwork in group shows at the Ariel Gallery in 1990, Mari Galleries of Westchester, Ltd. in 1994, Academy of Natural Sciences in Philadelphia in 1994, North Pennsylvania Arts Alliance Fall Show in 1995, Contemporary Realism in 1996, and Gallery Alexy in Philadelphia in 1996.

Ms. O’Connell was inducted as a Dame of Malta in 2014 and takes her membership seriously, doing what she can to help others. Ms. O’Connell tries to make sure people have food. They go to lords every year and take someone who is sick, either adults or children. Her responsibility is to take care of that person throughout the week she is there. As a testament to her success, Ms. O’Connell has been listed in numerous editions of Who’s Who of American Women, Who’s Who in the East, and Who’s Who in America.
