Victor L. Rose Jr., Former Adjunct Faculty and Instructor of Art Appreciation at Butler Community College, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Artists for dedication, achievements, and leadership in arts education and sculpture maintenance.
Mr. Rose is an accomplished professional in sculpture maintenance and arts education with decades of professional experience to his credit. From 2005 to 2020, he shared his knowledge as an adjunct faculty member and instructor of art appreciation at Butler Community College. Since 2004, Mr. Rose has contributed conservator services to the City of Eldorado, the Flint Hills National Golf Club and a cemetery.
In preparation for his career, Mr. Rose attended Wichita State University, graduating cum laude with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in 1979. In 1997, he obtained a Master of Fine Arts in drawing and painting from Wichita State University. Mr. Rose is the owner of Healing Wichita CBD and has been a volunteer and scoutmaster with the Boy Scouts of America.
In addition to his primary roles, Mr. Rose has found success as a guitarist since 1975. As a solo guitarist, he has released three CDs of his work. For more than a decade, he has been part of a band with his son, who plays the drums. He authored “Mondolic Guitar Encyclopedia” in 1976 and was inducted into The Kansas Music Hall of Fame” in 2015.
Going into the future, Mr. Rose intends to conduct a print show and create a mural. He also plans to spend his time finishing two current projects with his band and promoting them to the public. In his spare time, he enjoys camping and hiking.
