David Rodger Cantrell, creative director at Cantrell Design Group, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Artists for dedication, achievements, and leadership in art.

With many years of experience to his credit, Mr. Cantrell has excelled as creative director of Cantrell Design Group. He began his career with the Strategic Management Group at The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. He established himself as a human factors designer at Thomson Reuters. He worked with Vanguard Mutual Funds in 2023. He garnered a stellar reputation as an artist and graphic user interface designer and has since retired from the position.

Before embarking on his professional path, Mr. Cantrell pursued an education at Millersville University where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in 2001. Beyond his responsibilities within the field, he has participated in numerous endeavors outside of his professional circles, including contributions to The United Way. In addition to his primary vocation, he remains affiliated with various organizations in relation to his areas of expertise. He was a member of the International Interactive Communications Society.

In light of his impressive undertakings, Mr. Cantrell has accrued several accolades throughout his career. He was presented with multiple college awards and Tulsa State Fair awards. Additionally, he was selected for the foreign exchange program in Sweden through Phillips University.

Among his many notable career accomplishments, Mr. Cantrell considers his commissioned sculpture for the 200th anniversary of the United States Constitution at the Iowa State Capitol his most significant. He designed a sculpture featuring the Preamble of the Constitution, Independence Hall, the foundation of the Declaration of Independence, and the Four Founding Fathers. Additionally, he sculpted a piece for President Reagan in 1993 to mark the 10th Anniversary of the Berlin Wall’s fall.

In the immediate future, Mr. Cantrell plans to continue marketing his sculptures as well as any other new opportunities. He is retired but enjoys working on different projects. His daughter, Danica Meri Cantrell, is also an accomplished artist, and Mr. Cantrell is immensely proud of her and her accomplishments. Her work can be found and accessed at www.cantrelldesign.com.
