Additionally, she brought the show “Baywatch” from California to Hawaii, which led to the creation of “Baywatch Hawaii.” In light of her impressive undertakings, she was honored with the Maile Award in 1998, the Masini Volunteer of the Year Award by the City and County of Honolulu in 1998, and the state of Hawaii established Masini Day due to her tireless efforts in promoting the island-state.
